Alan Turing Research

Alan Turing, born 23rd of june,1912, was a brilliant mathematician, who devised the enigma machine, which cracked german codes using a core machine called a bombe which cracked the code by finding contradictions, essentially putting an end to the war. He devised the Turing test, in which a human talks to a computer using preset questions to see if computers can become good enough with a human language to blend in . There are many variations of it, such as the infamous “Chinese room”, which is a test to see if a machine can really understand a language, or if it is just bluffing. He also developed the worlds first stored program(ie: it had a hard drive) computer, the Manchester MK1. In fact, he is called the founder of computer science. One of the things he did concerning computers was to make a chess program for a computer that did not yet exist. He knew that it worked, however, because he played a game of chess against a friend, following the rules that he had set down. This, however, caused him to take half an hour over each move. This brilliant man died at the age of forty-one, in 1954, on the seventh of June. He committed suicide by eating an apple poisoned with cyanide. Some people thought he was re-enacting a scene from his favorite fairy tale, Snow White.

The Beginning...

Welcome to my AI project blog! In this expansive project i aim to:

Have a blog to keep track of this project

To research the history of AI and have a full document on it

To write my theory A on how it would be possible

To read “Out of control”, and write a synopsis/review on it.

To read “I Robot” , and write a Synopsis/review on it

Write an explanation on the Three Rules Of Robotics, and provide a story to serve as an in depth example.

To research “Hive Minds” and have a full document on it.

To research the possibilties of Artificial Intelligence.

To write my theory B on how it would be possible for comparison to theory A

To write a story on AI and how it would affect everything

To attempt to make a program that guesses the animal that you're thinking of, and learns every time it fails to guess the animal

In the long run, i'll probably do more, but this is the main scope of the whole thing!
